Idea for a new type of missile
Idea for a missile that scatters sea mines. There are missiles and rockets that can scatter land mines over a designated area. A missile that scatters sea mines shouldn't be too difficult. Enemy forces can sweep for mines. Then another sea mine scattering missile is fired, delaying the enemy and forcing him to sweep over the area again for mines or risk hitting one of the mines. Some type of free floating sea mines can be used perhaps. Can be used for area denial.

Ships are big and armored. You would need a big mine to sink them. Shooting them out of a missile seems unfeasible. Might be good for counter beach landing dingy craft but the surf would wash them up quickly.
